Every belt is made to last. Handcrafted using British traditionally tanned leather. Our buckles are sand cast in solid brass and nickel in Knutsford, England.

Hello & welcome to Flax & Fleece 

From the get-go at Sam Brown we wanted our leather to be traditionally tanned from the few remaining British tanneries later we incorporated traditionally made natural fibres such as Irish linen and British wool tweeds in our veg tan leather bags. 

Over time we slowly developed the Home Collection range using the materials and skills we'd forged with farmers and tanneries enabling us to choose the best and unique colours, textures and designs that nature provides.

Because of these relationships we know who has made the fabrics and who has reared the livestock. The sheepskin is tanned locally or Sweden by people who know what they are doing - it has to be said this knowhow is becoming more valved.

At award winning Sam Brown we do it the right way. Premiership club colours on a premium leather strap with a buckle in brass or nickel cast by a family owned workshop in Walsall. What's even better is we make every belt ourselves by hand and will even emboss your initials on the back to boot. 

The Western Style belts are solid full substance 4mm British vegetable dyed bridle leather with contrast stitching detail. Buckle choice is English Sterling Silver, chrome plate on solid brass or brass.
